IMO OPRC Courses

(Oil spill Preparedness, Response and Co-operation)

IMO OPRC courses on oil pollution preparedness and response carried out by Castalia are specifically designed to meet the MCA , BEIS and IMO International standards as well as the regulatory requirements of the Italian legislation.

The courses include both theoretical and practical sessions such as exercises and on site visits to view the equipment and naval units employed during antipollution activities.

The IMO courses on oil pollution preparedness and response  are  developed for three levels of competency:

Castalia courses are designed for the personnel involved in oil spill response operations such as: maritime personnel, head of shipboard human resources, harbor masters, government officials, personnel of the operational command and emergency response unit,  personnel responsible for OSR contingency plan.

In addition to the 4 – day IMO OPRC 1-2-3 standardized courses, Castalia plans and provides personalized courses to meet the specific need of each participant.

Castalia Consorzio Stabile S.C.p.A. is accredited by the “Nautical Institute” to deliver OSR training courses (Cert. Nr. 1293) equivalent to IMO OPRC 1-2-3 (International Maritime Organization), MCA (UK Maritime Coastguard Agency) and BEIS (UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy).
